I shared this bodysuit during one of my daily looks. I got it while in San Diego and love the feminine details. It would be so cute dressed up with shorts and heels for date night! FYI it does run tight so I suggest sizing up!
Shopbop has a new beach shop that and I’ve found so many pieces for my upcoming trips to Mexico. I definitely want this and these. I already bought this dress and its SO good! This one fits a little tight so you might want to size up.
I forgot my makeup brushes when I traveled to Dallas & San Diego, so I had to buy some at Sephora. I still had some brushes from probably 10 years ago, so I was ok splurging a little and getting some nice ones. I ended up with this one, this one, this one, and this one. I was secretly hoping I wouldn’t like a few and return them, but I love the mall. I threw out my old brushes as soon as I got home!
13 new summer arrivals under $100!
I bought this dress to wear in Dallas for my girlfriends wedding shower and it might be my new favorite dress! The fit is SO flattering and the color is gorgeous. Fits TTS (I wear a 2).
My printed phone case broke after nearly a year so I got this minimal one & love it!
Reel Love
I shared two affordable summer outfits to wear from day to night. These shorts are SO cute (and very similar to what I featured in the summer capsule) and this white dress is stunning! Everything featured in the reel is under $150!

Exploring Nashville/Dallas
Last week I had dinner with my friend Kimberly, she owns Emerson Grace boutique, at Santo in Green Hills! It’s one of our favorite quite spots with incredible Mediterranean inspired food! We shared the ahi tuna carpaccio, whipped feta, chicken & beef skewers, french fries, and broccolini. They also have a sister restaurant, Lola, which I’ve been wanting to try!
Today, I’m going with a girlfriend to Butcher & Bee for brunch – this is one of my favorites for brunch and dinner. Just make sure you get the whipped feta, its delicious!
While I was in Dallas last week, I tried a new-to-me coffee shop, La La Land and it was SO good. I tried the dirty chai and their honey & lavender latte and both were amazing. The avocado toasts are not to be missed either. Of course I also went to Honor Bar for lunch because I can’t go to Dallas and not eat the crispy chicken sandwich. Literally the best. I had brunch with a girlfriend at Il Bracco, which I’d only been to one other time for dinner. We shared the crudo, crispy artichokes, and both had the spicy gemelli pasta. It was incredible. Other places I ate while there: SASA Sushi and iFratelli’s pizza – both are long time favorites!
What I'm Watching / Reading / Listening to
Jacey Duprie, of Damsel in Dior, so thoughtfully sent me her new book, Liking Myself Back, and I read it on my flights from Nashville to Dallas to San Diego this past week. She opens up about her past struggles to present day acceptance. It’s relatable and an easy read; feels like catching up with a girlfriend!
Will and I finally started Stranger Things (season 4) and I’ll be honest it was VERY hard to watch. The opening scene was difficult (they had a disclaimer) and the end of the episode was also very dark. I really don’t like super dark shows, and I think because the kids are older, they are taking it to a whole new level. Not sure I’ll be able to continue watching.
I binged a new true-crime docuseries Podcast this week, Something Was Wrong (season 12). My friend Merritt posting something about it on her podcast instagram and I was intrigued. It was a quick listen and very crazy story! I’m interested to listen to the other seasons now, I think there are 13!
Thursday night Will and I re-watched the original Top Gun and this weekend we are going to go see Top Gun 2; I’ve heard so many great things about it!
At Home with FJ
So much progress has been made in the last week with our outdoor spaces!
The pool deck was completed and looks incredible. We used a local company in the Nashville area who resurfaced our 1980s concrete into something beautiful to emulate stone. It’s not stamped concrete, I was incorrect last time! I don’t know if there is an actual name, instead just a process of different applications. If you’re local, send me a message and I’ll give you the details on the service.
Our outdoor fireplace is 90% done! All we need is a chimney cap, I”m trying to decide between black (to match the trim of the house), white (to blend in with the brick/chimney), or copper as a fun pop! I change my mind daily so TBD there. We also have to source large stone slabs to cover the tops of the log containers. After that it will be complete! I found a coffee table at RH outlet on Thursday and I love how it looks with all the other furniture outside. I picked the weathered teak to tie in the natural color of our outdoor dining chairs. I can already tell we are going to be spending a ton of time outside this summer!
Recent Travels
Last week I was back to Dallas for another girlfriends bridal shower and from there I went to San Diego for Father’s Day and a quick shoot with Arielle. It was so fun seeing everyone, even though it was a quick trip! I’m home until after 4th of July when I go to Chicago & Dallas.
If you’re traveling soon, make sure you check out my travel guides below and my must-have travel essentials!

Q: Help! Can you post some fun wedding guest outfit options? Attending a wedding this year and need inspiration!
A: Yes! I rounded up 12 gorgeous bright and fun wedding guest dress options here! Options for anything from beach to formal summer weddings!
Q: Love the white dress from Amazon, I bought 3 more colors! Can you do more from Amazon please
A: Glad you loved this dress! It's one of my favorites. I actually have a ton of posts on Amazon! You can see them all here and visit my Amazon Storefront here!
Q: Where did you get your mouse pad from?
A: I had so many questions about my mousepad, blue light glasses, and mouse when I shared this pic! Everything linked here!
Q: The denim shirt jacket you wore traveling, what size do you wear?
A: Normally I would have bought a small, but I really wanted it to be an oversized fit for layering, so I got a medium in this shirt jacket (FYI I'm 5'10 if that's helpful)
Q: Did you recently post a story about the Drbar Blow-Dryer brush? I saw it somewhere but can't find on your site?
A: Yes! I bought the Blow-Dryer brush a few weeks ago and have been loving it! I even convinced a few of my friends to try it too (instead of the Revlon one) and they love it! I love how easy it is to use, gives a great blow out, and doesn't get too hot!

I bought this dress in both yellow and ivory! I wore the yellow one to dinner Friday night. It’s such a fun pop of color for summer. I’ll wear the ivory one a little more casual with flat sandals for casual date night.
I’ve been wanting a tennis necklace, but don’t want to spend a lot of money until I’m SURE the style is right for me. So I got this one for under $30! I’m SO impressed with the quality!
These black leather sandals look like the perfect day to night sandals for summer! Definitely going to order.
Another Kathleen Jennings Beauty product I bought! This eye serum is supposed to help the with appearance of wrinkles around the eye area and firm eyelids.
Shopping for Dad? Gift ideas under $100, for the outdoorsman, or the grill master!
I bought this top (hummus), this tank (black), this dress (black), this crossbody, these shorts (orange), these shorts (black), this cardigan (white), and this dress (blue), all from the Amazon Summer Capsule!
Reel Love
This week I shared a quick GRWM (get ready with me) reel sharing a new piece I got for summer and obsessed with! This short sleeve cropped blazer is so cute! I’ve seen a lot of high-end designer styles but this one is under $100! Full outfit details here!
Exploring Nashville
This was a lighter week with social plans but Friday night I celebrated my friend Stefani’s belated birthday. She had never been to Drusie and Darr, located in the stunning Hermitage Hotel downtown Nashville, so I booked us a reservation for the celebration. We planned to get there about 30 min before our reservation, so we could sit at the bar and have a cocktail first. The atmosphere is stunning. Think feminine art deco vibes. The women’s bathroom is just every shade of pink marble and so stunning! I hadn’t sat in the bar/lounge area before and I’m glad we were able to do that first! FYI you can eat dinner at the bar, but we opted to keep the dinner reservation and go to a table.
For dinner we started with the ahi tuna tartar, crispy sushi, and the hopper shrimp. All of it was amazing. For the mains we each shared/split the grilled prime filet and the rigatoni WITH a side of fries. For dessert I had the warm chocolate cake which is like a lava cake (my favorite), and Stef had something strawberry (I can’t remember and it’s not on the menu), but she loved it! It was fun to get dressed up and enjoy a girls night and such a gorgeous spot!
What I'm Watching / Reading / Listening to
I didn’t have time to read this week just because I was catching up from travel, but I’ll probably finish The Seven Husbands of Eveyln Hugo on my flight to Dallas/CA next week! After that I think I’m going to start Anxious People; I’ve heard a lot of great things about it!

At Home with FJ
This week we had a team start on resurfacing the “pool deck”. The concrete around the pool is very old, has a lot of cracks and just needed a face lift. I should have asked Will before starting this post, but I think its a stamped concrete finish. Basically the area around the pool is going to look like the bluestone patio we have in our backyard where the outdoor dining and fireplace are. It should be done by Wednesday and I’m so excited!
We also had someone come out to measure for new shutters for the front of the house. The original ones were very old, and didn’t survive the removal when we had the house painted. I was trying to decide if I wanted to leave the house without them, but I feel like it looks a little bare and I still wanted to keep the character of the original style. They will be installed in 10-12 weeks, so hold tight for pictures!
We are finalizing the next demo phase of our remodel with the laundry and powder room! Jessica has been helping with the project and I’m obsessed with the powder room sink design we are doing. Think bold but sophisticated!
Recent Travels
I was home this whole week which was nice because its been go, go, go, for a while now. But this upcoming week I’m heading back to Dallas for another girlfriends bridal shower! From there I’m going to San Diego for Father’s Day and a quick shoot with Arielle, then I’ll be home until July!
If you’re traveling soon, make sure you check out my travel guides below and my must-have travel essentials!

Q: Your favorite white Madewell jeans, do you buy those in standard or tall? I love where they hit on your.
A: I have these white jeans in the standard length. I'm 5'10 but love the look of them being slightly cropped! They fit TTS, have stretch, and aren't see though. My favorite pair for summer!
Q: What kind of bra do you wear with this dress (or similar w/open back)? Always love your recommendations!
A: For dresses like this one and this one, I use these! They are minimal, comfortable, don't show, and last with multiple wears!
Q: What size do you wear in the Amazon long workout tanks?
A: Literally my favorite workout tanks ever! I take my true size and wear a small. They are fitted and I have a smaller chest. They do have removable cups though, which I love!
Q: Where is your tray from on your nightstand? I love it!
A: Thank you! I linked it here! It's great quality and under $100!
Q: Where is the robe from you were wearing in your recent reel?
A: Pottery Barn! I've had it for years, it's such good quality.

For Emma’s bridal shower I had two other dress options (I’ll share later), but as soon as I saw this one a few days prior, I knew it was the one! I love the back too – it’s perfect for summer!
10 fun summer dresses under $100!
I bought these black sandals from the summer capsule and I’m obsessed. It took me a few times to get used to putting them on, but now they are so easy. I love them and will be wearing a ton this summer!
13 new arrivals for summer from Madewell – almost everything under $100!
From Amazon I ordered this in sage, these, this, and more of these!
Reel Love
This week I launched the summer capsule wardrobe and shared this fun reel highlighting a few of the looks! I’ve said it a few times before, but this capsule is by far my favorite one I’ve done!
Exploring Dallas
Switching it up since I’m in Dallas for most of the week!
Honor Bar in Highland Park Village is one of my favorites and I have to come here (at least once) while visiting Dallas. The Ding’s Crispy Chicken sandwich is literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The truffle fries are not to be missed, and while I’m sad they took the Schramsberg sparkling rosé off the menu, the French 76 and spicy margarita’s are just as good!
Thursday night I met my friend Merritt for dinner at Odelay TexMex. It’s a newer restaurant on Lovers and was SO good! I had the brisket tacos, queso blanco, and a spicy margarita. Love the atmosphere, but it’s pretty busy so make sure you get there early or sit at the bar!
Friday afternoon I had lunch with two girlfriends at RH Rooftop on Knox/Henderson. I’ve mentioned this place before and its another favorite! I love that the Dallas location is a rooftop setting vs. Nashville is a courtyard setting. For lunch we shared the shaved vegetable salad and all had the lobster rolls!
Friday night we had takeout from Cana Rosso which was one of my favorite pizza places in Dallas. The honey bastard is THE BEST pizza!
Today is Emma’s bridal shower at Sixty Vines which is another fun pizza/pasta/wine restaurant and such a fun atmosphere, but if you live in Nashville, they did just open one on Broadway!
Don’t miss shopping in Highland Park Village for all your designer needs! It’s such a gorgeous shopping destination, even if you don’t buy anything, it’s just beautiful walking around! I did get these earrings which have been on my list for a long time and the store finally had them!
I was also able to sneak in an appointment to get my haircut from Michelle at Revel Workshop. I have been going to her for years and since I come to Dallas so often, I haven’t found the need to find anyone else in Nashville.
What I'm Watching / Reading / Listening to
I FINALLY started reading The Seven Husbands of Eveyln Hugo on Memorial Day & on my flight to Dallas and its SO good! It’s an easy read and hard to put down! I’ll probably finish it next weekend, so I’m trying to figure out which book to read next! Let me know if you have any recs!
In the past month or so I started following Kathleen Jennings Beauty and I’m addicted to her recs! I just listened to The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast with Kathleen Jennings on all things skincare & beauty and I’m excited to try a this mask, this mask, and these masks, that she swears by!
At Home with FJ
I’m SO excited because our outdoor fireplace is so close to being done! The team we hired has a lot of projects right now (everyone is so backed up), so they are fitting us in as they can, but this is after just two full working days! The “boxes” you see on either side of the fireplace are going to get finished out a little more and that’s where the logs will be stored. Once the brick work is done it will get painted Benjamin Moore Classic Grey (like our house) and then I’m going to have hydrangea bushes planted all along the back of the retaining wall just to make it nice and lush.
This week I’m going to try and go to a local nursery to find some small trees and plants I can keep in pots around the front and back of the house. I would also love to plant climbing hydrangea somewhere against the house, but I need to get some advise with the local nursery to see what will work best!
Recent Travels
This weekend I am in Dallas to celebrate my good friend Emma’s bridal shower! She is getting married this fall, so this weekend officially kicked off all her wedding celebrations.
I’m working on getting a Dallas travel guide put together soon! It’s such a big city with so much to do/see, so I’m trying to map out the best way to share all the locations/information with you guys!

Q: Do you use an insert in your Goyard bag?
A: Yes! I got this one from Amazon about 4 years ago and it's such a game changer. Not only does it keep everything organized, it also helps to give the bag structure. I have the GM Goyard tote and the XL tote organizer. If you aren't sure which size to get, just measure your bag and look at the dimensions of the different size organizers online to determine which will fit best! Read here for my Goyard Tote Review.
Q: Who makes your canopy bed and bedroom rug? I've been on the hunt!
A: My bed is from Restoration Hardware and my rug is Annie Selke. I have all my home decor pictures/links by room here!
Q: I love the crossbody from the capsule, but it's already sold out! Have you seen any others that are similar?
A: It looks like this one has come in and out of stock, so keep and eye on it! But this one, this one, this one, and this one (under $100!) are some great alternatives!
Q: I love your style and get a lot of inspiration from you. Can you share some affordable summer tops?
A: Thank you! Here are 9 fun summer tops all under $75 and most come in more colors!
