Exploring Nashville
Since we moved to Nashville, I’ve been wanting to try Arrington Vineyards. Will and I took a day off last week and finally went. They have a pretty nice outdoor space; live music on the weekends, food trucks, and of course a few bachelorette party sightings (haha). It did start raining after about an hour of being there, but we were able to find covered seating outside. We did a wine tasting and split two flatbreads. Was the wine my favorite, no. Will we go back, eh probably not. But I’m glad we did go to check the box and just have some fun together. This is what I wore. I also bought this camera right before we went and I’m SO glad I did. It was fun to take a few instant pics and I’ve been using it out and about capturing fun moments!
What I'm Watching / Reading / Listening to
Watching: Will and I finished a few shows in the last month; The Bear (Hulu season 3) – it’s just SO good. Presumed Innocent (Apple TV) was definitely my favorite. We did try to watch the original movie with Harrison Ford from 1990 and I fell asleep, if that tells you anything. Dark Matter (Apple TV) was also another good one we finished.
Listening: Will and I have been curating a “Yacht Rock” playlist on Spotify. Its just shy of an hour but a fun listen if you need a pick me up!
Reading: Nothing at the moment, but I linked previous books below!
At Home with FJ
I’m working on a few small updates to our bedroom. I ordered this bench to go at the foot of our bed. I love the color and texture and I think the dogs will enjoy it too haha. We have this piece from RH and I’ve been dragging my feet on styling it, but finally mocked something up which I love. I ordered this lamp and this bowl and then will use existing coffee table books, candles, and art that we have to fill the rest of the space. We don’t have a TV in the bedroom right now. I’ve never not had one in the bedroom, and its kind of nice. I’ve thought about buying this for the moments I wish we had a TV in the space, let me know if you have one and like it?
Recent Travels
I didn’t travel at all in July which is wild. I feel like for so long I was always on the go, but it was nice to be home for a bit. I’m already planning a trip to Dallas in August for a hair appointment, skincare appointment, and of course seeing my girlfriends and shopping/eating at a few favorite spots. I will be using this new suitcase I bought currently on sale!
I mentioned on Instagram last week Will and I are in the beginning stages of planning our 5 year anniversary trip in September. We are for sure doing London and Paris, and maybe the English countryside, but not sure of all the details yet. I’ve been to both cities numerous times and have done just about all the touristy things to do. We really want this trip to just be “fly by the seat of our pants” which is not me at all. But I kind of just want to wake up and see where the day takes us. Wandering, shopping, eating, and just enjoying leisurely time together.
