Welcome to the newly updated (again) weekly Everyday FJ series. Here I'll be sharing a little bit of everything; home updates, life updates, travel plans, what I'm shopping for, Nashville spots I've tried, discount codes, and really anything from the week that you guys might be interested in. I got a lot of requests with what you would like to see here, and it is actually helping me for future blog posts. I wanted this series to just be a true "everyday FJ" anything and everything. As always thank you so much for your support and following along, I truly appreciate you all. If you have a question or request, fill out the contact form or follow along on Instagram and send me a DM.
In My Cart
I got these AGOLDE Cooper Cargo pants from A Line boutique in Denver when I was there this week for a MAYSON pop-up. They are so cool, and so comfortable. Definitely size up! Click here for the full outfit.
These Jeffrey Campbell Gallery Sandals are giving The Row for under $150, so it was an instant “yes” from me. I plan to order them in both silver and red (SO not like me, but both colors are on trend this year!).
This cardigan has all the Jenni Kayne vibes for a fraction of the price. My friend has it, so I’ve seen it in person and can confirm it’s amazing quality.
I don’t own a pair of gray jeans, so I decided to order my favorite silhouette ever (AGOLDE 90s Pinch Waist) in this gorgeous “Rain” color. I plan to get a lot of wear out of them this spring!
Faux Tree Gate continues. I’m trying to find the perfect one for our living room, but this one from Target was the winner for our family room!
I’ve flirted with these shorts and finally made my move. They are amazing. Size up for a slouchier fit!
I have my eye on these for our upcoming Hawaii vacation. They’re like Prada without the price tag or logo. Into it.
White isn’t just for brides. Love this classic midi dress from spring and summer.
I rounded up my favorite new arrivals at SAKS and Nordstrom!
Designer Birkenstocks? Yes, please. Obsessed with Chloé’s take and got them in grey, but love them in white.
Around Town
I made yet another trip to Dallas last week to shoot some photos with Beckley Co, which was so fun and really reinvigorated my passion for street style outfits. While I was there, I hit up all the classics: Honor Bar, Sasa Sushi, and RH restaurant. I also put my closet organization skills to the test with my friend Emma of EMMASTHING who was in dire need of a purge. (check out my closet organization post here). We got rid of a lot and she made us this delicious dinner of Sweet Potato Black Bean bowls that I will 100% be making at home! The sauce was so good.
This past week, I made a super quick day trip to Denver to host a MAYSON the label pop-up at A Line Boutique (Cherry Creek location). If you live in the area, they’ll be featuring pieces through March 7, so make a stop to shop the new Spring 2024 collection!
Saturday I had a solo day date and it was THE BEST. I feel like I don’t carve enough time out for me, because I’m always trying to play catch up with adulting. So I put on a cute outfit and went to a few of my favorite spots around Nashville. Eneby Home was my first spot because they had the showroom open to the public. I got an incredible piece of art! I went to a few other shops and then stopped in RH for a solo lunch. I had the shaved vegetable salad with salmon, and fries of course. I truly just let the day take me where I pleased. I might make this a first Saturday of the month routine.
Content I'm Loving
Will and I are continuing on our old movie kick and watched Scent of a Woman last weekend. The title is odd, but it’s an amazing movie. Such a classic!
A Swedish thriller series called A Nearly Normal Family was suggested to me, and I am actually loving it. It’s six episodes, each an hour long, and I flew through it.
On my flight home from Denver I watched Past Lives, and oh my gosh, SUCH a great film. Highly recommend.
I started watching the One Day series because of the hype and quickly realized it’s the same as the Anne Hathaway movie from 2011 and immediately turned it off. If you’ve seen it, you know why. Once you’ve seen it once, you never need to do that to yourself again!
As for what I’m listening to, I’m on a Harry Styles kick. I didn’t really listen to him until last year, realized how great he is, and have been playing his stuff a lot recently! “Sign of the Times” is a personal favorite.
At Home with FJ
I saw this rug on a high-end home website and immediately fell in love with it but it was super expensive and I wasn’t into the price. Low and behold, I ended up finding the exact same rug on Amazon for a way more digestible price and was SO HAPPY. I ordered it immediately, it arrived, and it’s perfect. The price changes daily, so keep an eye on it!
Speaking of, we had to lay the rug down in the living room which meant moving all of our furniture out of the way. These furniture jacks are so handy for home projects and I can’t recommend them enough! During the process of moving things out of the way, we ended up rearranging our entire living room and are so happy with the new layout. It looks so good and has made such a difference!
Other than that, the spring cleaning bug has definitely bitten us, so we’re all in on getting the house tidy and fresh for the new season!
Coming Up
We’ve officially booked our first vacation of 2024 to Oahu! We’ll be spending a few days on Waikiki Beach and I literally cannot wait. I’m already getting so excited to pack and will definitely be putting together lots of collages and guides that center around spring break and summer vacation, so be sure you’re following my LTK Shop to catch all of those! In the meantime, check out this swimsuit cover-up collage, this one-piece round-up, and this bikini guide.
