Everyday FJ is a blog series you can expect every Saturday that features what I shopped for that week, what I’m watching/reading/listening to, and any and everything going on at home and around town.
I truly appreciate you all. If anything you read or see sparks a question or comment, fill out the contact form or follow along on Instagram and send me a DM.

One of my girlfriend’s has this bag in the smaller version, and I noticed it immediately. After some mild research, I realized there’s a bigger option and I’m very interested. It comes in so many colors, so I’m exploring my options and will of course let everyone know if I end up getting one!
There’s no such thing as owning too many joggers, so I just ordered these in both the black and gray from lululemon. The Scuba High-Rise joggers are not new to lululemon, but these are an updated version! I owned the originals for a long time so they’re pretty worn out, and I felt it was the right time to re-buy them in their new state. Best joggers ever!
Rookie mistake: I left my T3 curling wand at the hotel in San Diego last weekend, and they claimed to not be able to find it (?!), so I had to suck it up and get an alternative (wish I could go back to the hotel and look for it myself!). I decided to try something new and more cost effective, so snagged this one at Ulta and I’m liking my results so far. I love that it’s black and under $100, too!
These slingback, pointy-toe pumps remind me of a pair of Toteme heels I really want, and these just so happen to be half the price! I ordered them, and they’re on their way, so I will report back!
This tweed jacket from Mango looks like Celine and is under $150, so I’m adding it to cart immediately. I never know with jackets, so I’ll probably order a small and medium just to see which fit I like best, and return the one that doesn’t work!
This grey cable sweater is on sale right now! As shown on the featured image. I’m wearing a small. More items on sale at Saks!
Around Town
This was a busy week of dining out – mostly because its the week after my birthday & travel!
Tuesday night my girlfriends threw a small surprise dinner for me at Giovanni’s! It was right after the MAYSON Holiday Pop-Up at Emerson Grace (going on through 12/17), and such a fun surprise!
Wednesday we went to a new spot in Franklin called Bestia Mare with some friends. This is a sister restaurant to Culaccino (one of mine and Will’s favorites). The concept behind it was to pick all the specials from Culaccino that did well, and then make a restaurant based around those! The food was great and loved the atmosphere!
This week, we went to dinner at Geist with my best friend and her husband who recently moved back to Tennessee. Her husband’s birthday and mine are super close, so it was a joint celebration, and we really enjoyed it! I’ve been a few times for brunch and dinner, and it’s decked out right for the holidays so it’s a fun place to dine. It reminded us of Rolf’s in New York!
At Home
I always have the urge to clean and purge the house this time of year to get it ready for the new year. It feels like starting fresh, you know? It’s a slower time of year, anyway, so it’s the best time to focus on deep cleaning. Here are a few of my favorite cleaning products!
This wet/dry vacuum. Its gross to see what it picks up, but sooooo satisfying!
This pet hair remove/lint roller. If you own an animal and a couch this is a must for under $20!
This mini handheld vacuum is great for small spaces; I use in the bathroom & kitchen drawers.
Of course I LOVE my Dyson vacuum for places I can’t use the Tineco. This one and this one are both on major sale!
Coming Up
Tonight (Saturday), we are going to a friend’s holiday party, which means I’m finally going to wear this dress I bought a few weeks ago and I’m so excited.
Will and I’s Christmas Eve tradition is to get dressed up and go out to dinner just the two of us. Last year, we dined at Drusie and Darr inside The Hermitage Hotel, but this year we may be changing it up and going out Christmas Eve Eve instead to celebrate Josephine’s last night in business. We just love it SO much!
For Christmas itself, we fully plan on being on the couch all day long and into that weird space/time continuum week that is 12/26-1/1. It’s honestly my favorite week of the year because it feels like the world collectively stops — there’s no guilt about not working because everyone is just relaxing and wondering what day it is! I’m ready to reset and recharge for 2024, and I’m sure everyone is, too!

Q: Help! I need last minute ideas for my husband.
A:I got you covered! Stocking stuffers, handsome finds, the outdoorsman, the grill master, the sports guy, and more random guy things.
Q: Where is your sherpa jacket your wore the other night from?
A: Here! I wear a small, it also comes in black! Linked more styles that give the same vibe here.
Q: What was the grey sweatshirt you keep wearing & in San Diego?
A: This one! Color is Ash and I got the men's XL so it would be VERY oversized. Its perfect for lounging; I pretty much wear it daily haha.
Q: Can you remind me which EarPods you like?
A: These! I STRONGLY dislike the Apple AirPods and these are SO much more comfortable and TRULY noise-cancelling. On sale right now!
Q: I got the MAYSON tank and LOVE it. Question, which bra do you wear with yours?
A: So happy to hear that! These tanks are becoming everyone's favorite and all for good reason! I wear these bras and for reference I wear a small in the tanks.

I received two of these Boll & Branch bath sheets for Christmas last year and fell in love. They are such amazing quality — oversized, cozy, and not a thread is out of place after a year of using them daily. A set of four is 25% off right now, so hurry and take advantage of this deal! Code is DREAMBUNDLES.
Speaking of outerwear, I’ve been coveting this J.Crew black leather jacket for a while now. I just love the cut and style so much and know I’d wear it all the time. I may need to add it to my birthday/Christmas list and see if I get lucky!
I grabbed the last one of this stunning RHODE balloon-sleeve, marigold, velvet dress at Emerson Grace here in Nashville. The color is so beautiful and the dress design is so fun. I’m thinking it would be festive to wear for a holiday or birthday celebration with a pair of black platforms.
I also bought this bracelet at Emerson Grace while I was there. It was the last one in white, but they have lots of other colors and necklaces, too. I saw Somewhere Lately wearing it a while ago and have been thinking about it ever since.
If you’re like me, you probably just started shopping for holiday gifts! Be sure to browse all of my Gift Guides for this year. There are plenty with lots of ideas no matter who you’re shopping for, and you’re sure to find the perfect gift!
What I'm Watching / Reading / Listening to
Watching: I’m still going strong on my Gilmore Girls rewatch (I typically watch an episode before bed every night). I also have The Holiday & Love Actually on repeat as I do every season because I’m a sucker for cheesy, Christmas movies.
Listening: Christmas music is on at our house 24/7 right now. We love the classics the most like Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin. You get the picture! They’re just the best. The Time-Life Treasure of Christmas CDs are what I remember listening to growing up and it gives me all the nostalgic feels.
Around Town
Our favorite restaurant, Josephine, is closing after 10 amazing years. We are devastated, so we’ll be going as often as possible to enjoy our favorite dishes and support them “one last time” over and over until we can’t! I’m almost certain their tables are all booked from here on out, but you could try your luck at the bar. If you do, make sure you try the burger (only 5-7pm). Its the best in the city.
At Home
This past weekend, we put up our Christmas tree and I’m seriously considering keeping it up throughout the year. Not really, but it looks so amazing in the formal living room with our green velvet couches — like the perfect Christmas scene! Frank got his teeth around the tree lights cord two years ago, and I finally ordered a replacement remote this year, so hopefully our tree will be all lit up this weekend!
The bed I ordered over labor day for one of the guest rooms arrived this week. I’m excited to get this space put together. Its going to be a slow process because home decor takes time, but I’m not in any rush. PS. love how the bed looks in the space!
Travel
Next week, Will and I leave for San Diego to celebrate my 40th birthday (OMG)! I haven’t been back home in almost a year, and Will hasn’t been back since we moved in 2020! I’m so excited to see family, friends, and dine out at all our favorite spots. It should be a wonderful birthday leading into the holiday season, and I can’t wait!

Q: Where is the rug from by the glass doors?
A: Ruggable! Its the 3x5 and fits perfect in front of the folding doors. Great for the dogs, especially when its raining out, like today! Super easy to wash and care for!
Q: Love your thick gold X ring, where is it from?
A: That one is Chanel, Coco Crush Ring, but I found a VERY similar one here. I would get the 'gold mid' option to get the closest look to mine!
Q: I love your black suede booties you always wear, are they worth it?
A: Yes. The Toteme suede booties have become my staple since last year and held up so well. They are an "expensive but worth it" item. They are SO comfortable, wear really well and look great with so many outfits. I got my true size. Also for what its worth, I bought the leather pair as well last year because of how much I wore the suede. While they look so sleek and I do love them, this style in particular is SO hard to get off. You need a second person's help. The suede are easy, but the leather is difficult.
Q: You recently shared your favorite perfume, and I forgot to screenshot. Can you please share again?
A: This one has been my favorite for the last year. I wish it was available in a bigger size. It smells SO good. Here are some of my other favorite fragrances!
Q: Holiday party outfit ideas please!
A: Rounded up some festive pieces here and a chic all black outfit here!
